Bishop
Although Larisa Oleynik is cute as a button and plays the lead character in The Secret World of Alex Mack, the best part of the show is Natanya Ross and Meredith Bishop. Meredith plays the part of Alex Mack's older sister, Annie Mack. Alex Mack is well known so this page is dedicated to the unsung talents and beauty of Meredith Bishop.
It seems redundant to state the obvious, but Meredith has a strange beauty with her dark hair and big unusual and expressive eyes.
I read somewhere that Meredith's career interest is in motion picture production. This seems unfortunate as she is a wonderful actress and perhaps she should continue to act. She uses body language in a way that is atypical of only adequate actresses. Meredith adds authenticity to her character by little gestures like sometimes putting her hand to her face for no apparent reason. She also has this adorably coy way of looking sideways at Alex--askance one might say--during conversation and she often looks away to some other point in the room as if absorbed in her own weighty thoughts. Sometimes she lets her large droopy eyelids show disinterest in her younger sister's problems. The appeal of her acting is hard to explain; she just seems to play her part in a style that is very different from the way I would imagine anyone else doing it. She's wonderful.
Meredith is also an accomplished jazz dancer and a classical ballerina.
